Description

The Multi Purpose Wall Mount Hose Reel is ready to suit a variety of your gardening needs. This versatile hose reel is constructed of 13-gauge steel and can mount securely to any wall. Or you may add the rubber boots for a non-skid floor mount. This reel may also be anchored to lawns or tufts. To create a long-lasting look, the metal is magnetized and a molecule-to-molecule paint process takes place to prevent rusting. Finally, a polystyrene finish creates a super-strong top coat. This reel will hold up to 200 feet of hose and it includes a five-foot inlet hose. Fixtures are galvanized brass and feature the patented 90-degree Brass Live Swivel that prevents the hose from kinking and allows more flexibility.

    The bracket holding the hose spindle was not perpendicular to the spindle axis. It wasn't off a lot, but after assembly, the end of the bolt that passes through the handle would hit the bracket as the hose was wound up on the reel. I had to diassemble the handle, cut off 1/4" of the bolt, and reassemble so the handle assembly would not hit the bracket as you wound up the hose. So far otherwise, ok.

                Being very new and not even mounted yet, it seems to be very well constructed. Heavy, for sure, not plastic, strong looking hose connection/spindle. My only reservation is "how long the finish will stay intact". Experience has taught me that Chinease products have a limited durability/life.
